GPBookBlog: Feeding Wild Birds in Winter by Clive Dobson
This is a good basic guide on feeding birds. It has black and white drawings of birds most likely to be seen at feeders and tells what each bird prefers to eat and where they prefer to eat it. For instance, do they want it in a feeder in a tree, on a fence post, or hanging from a string? Some birds prefer to eat on the ground and some will eat just about anywhere. Also gives ideas on how to make easy bird feeders out of household stuff like milk jugs or using natural items like pine-cones. Good basic guide. Feeding Wild Birds in Winter by Clive Dobson.
